On the weekend I had shot a photo of my brother, the more hairier and older version of me. He has been a very good brother to me and I thank  him a lot for always being supportive. Whenever I need help or need someone's opinion I ask him because he is harsh and very truthful. This makes it easier to filter out my mistakes. I think it's great that I have a brother that shares simular interests with me. Playing video games and destroying people online is always fun. Sometimes he is too funny. He calls himself part robot because he needs machines to help him hear (his hearing aids). I love people with a positive attitude and he is a great brother. Thanks for everything bro.    

Mill street Tankhouse

This is a shot i did, not for mill street, but for a school assignment. I was asked to shoot beer and therefore i had shot beer. It was quite fun and relaxing. My setup consisted of 2 black cars, 2 soft boxes, a silver reflector and a 6 by 9 phase one camera. Sometimes it amazes me how much setup there is to small products such as beer. The glass and beer also had to be prepped before hand with matte spray and "drops of water" (they aren't actually water.) Overall hard work and a fun time.

aaronbatey instead of bateyphoto

The url of my blog has now changed to aaronnbatey.blogspot.com.  The bateyphoto.blogspot.com is no more :D Enjoy! I should be posting again with a photo later today, keep tuned it.

My previous post had shown my setup for one of these photos. I had created a short series about the day and life of a man, who thinks hes superman. Enjoy!

It was interesting seeing peoples reactions to seeing a grown man walking around in a superman suit on a Wednesday afternoon. Some kids gave us some interesting stares, so superman said "Eat your greens kids". One day they will thank superman for keeping them healthy, one day.

Behind the scenes

Lately I have been thinking of posting with text included, only because most of you don't know me personally. So from this day forth change will happen. I will now show more then just my art! Time for a revolution!! And here's a shot of my room when setting up for a shoot. I will be posting the final to this soon :)
